Our company

marketing intelligence consulting was launched in November 2002. Since that time, the company has conducted more than 100 projects for domestic and international clients.

The types of projects included:

• Market and Audience Segmentation: Exploring purchase process dynamics and identifying buyer and influencer profiles
• Brand Exploration: Assessing brand images and customer loyalty, and identifying new opportunities and challenges for value propositions

Our founder

• Michael Epple has 18 years of experience as a senior level marketing researcher and consultant, with expertise in IT, multi-channel marketing deployment and BtoB research. He has provided marketing intelligence insight for clients such as SAP, AXA, Fisher-Price, Sears, Vodafone, T-Com, Kabel Deutschland, BBC, Procter&Gamble, Sanofi-Synthelabo and Diageo in multiple markets around the globe.
• As a Managing Director Qualitative Research at MediaTransfer Netresearch & Consulting AG in Hamburg, Michael was one of the pioneers of internet-based market research in Germany. He designed a platform for online focus groups and a usability lab, and conducted hundreds of “e-clinics” to assess websites for clients such as BMW, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Telekom, Henkel and Procter & Gamble. Within just two years, he built a team of 5 staff and established MediaTransfer as the technology leader in online based qualitative market research methodology. He was also responsible for establishing a worldwide network of research partners specializing in panel-based online market research, and conducting training on web-based methodologies.
• Michael was Department Head of Qualitative Research at Ipsos Deutschland, a subsidiary of a top ten global market research company. He managed a seven person team on projects for clients including Banque Cortal, Bertelsmann, Beiersdorf, Europcar, Iveco, Nike and Polaroid. He was also responsible for the launch and branding of the worldwide qualitative research unit of Ipsos.
• Before joining Ipsos, Michael was Research Executive for H,T,P, Concept, one of the leading independent German qualitative research agencies. Over five years, he moved from Statistical Analysis and Chart Office to Project Management for global clients such as American Express Company, Bayer, Leica, Microsoft, McDonald‘s and Visa.
• Before he discovered marketing research as his passion, Michael spent one year working as a Strategic Planner in an advertising agency, and two years as a Trainer and Moderator for the Human Resources Department of UniCredit HypoVereinsbank in Munich. He was also a Psychology teacher for youth care workers for over 5 years.
• Michael holds a degree in Psychology from the Georg-August-University Göttingen and specialized in clinical and social psychology. He is fluent in three languages (German, English, French).
